Hepatitis B
- Hepatitis B is an infection of the liver. It can't be cured.
- Hepatitis B is caused by a virus.
- Hepatitis B is very contagious. It is passed through an exchange of semen, vaginal fluids, and blood by having unprotected vaginal, anal, or oral sex
- sharing needles and other "works" to inject drugs
- sharing personal hygiene utensils such as toothbrushes, razors, earrings, or nail clippers
- having your body pierced or tattooed with infected tools or needles
- Hepatitis B can also be passed from mother to infant during birth.
